We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Alternative Provision, Inspiring Futures Mentor with well-developed interpersonal skills to join our Education Department. The role will see the successful Mentor based in schools around the Wakefield District and beyond until the end academic year with a view to moving forward into the 2022/23 academic year. The locations of the schools are based around Wakefield, Doncaster, Barnsley and Worksop.

An Inspiring Futures Mentor at the WTCF will report directly to the Education Lead and will have an active involvement in our alternative provision delivery, delivering a number of high quality workshop and practical based sessions each day, in schools across the Wakefield District.

An Inspiring Futures Mentor will work closely with the Education Lead to make sure all aspects of delivery are run to the highest of standards. They will also need to have a positive working relationship with the schools, head teachers, class teachers and students.

We are looking for candidates with excellent communication skills, evidence of leadership, proven organisation skills, experience of managing projects and an ability to work on their own initiative. Applicants should have a sound understanding, and experience of working with disengaged students and students with special educational needs or disabilities.   

This is an exciting time for Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation, as we enter a period of change and plan for the next couple of years. The need for our services has never been greater. This role will be an opportunity for you to work closely with a professional rugby league club, and the wider staff team, to further develop the Education Department across the Wakefield District.
