Wakefield Trinity’s scholarship players have spent the week taking part in community activities as part of NCS.
Helping the community runs through the veins of Wakefield Trinity, and to exaggerate this further, our under-16s’ side has been cleaning up after the city, helping Community Integrated Care, St Catherine’s Church and Valley Gardens.
As part of their social activities, the participants have been litter picking in and around the stadium as well as clearing up gardens for both St Catherine’s and a local learning disability centre.
Small acts like this have helped neaten up the streets of Wakefield, aiding valuable organisations in the process.
Next week, the players will continue their great work with both CIC and St Catherine’s, taking their social action project to the next level.
Speaking on the impact they have made so far, Head of Education & NCS, Luke Shale, said, “The work they have done will be invaluable to the community.
“The way that they have stood up and helped the city has been fantastic and they have definitely done all that has been asked of them.”
