Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation is delighted to be partnering with The Work-Wise Foundation ahead of the implementation of STREAM Education later this year.
The new partnership will sit within Trinity Education’s new strand for the upcoming year and will allow schools and their students the opportunity to explore a variety of different educational resources through both robotics and coding.
This new initiative is made possible through the robots invested in by the Foundation, while the new deal struck with The Work-Wise Foundation will offer a new engineering element to the programme.
As an employer-led charity for STEM fields, The Work-Wise Foundation supports the development of young people, issuing them with the knowledge, skills, aptitude and opportunities for future employment.
Speaking upon the launch of the partnership, CEO and Chair of ‘Get up to Speed with STEM Steering Group’ at The Work-Wise Foundation, John Barber, declared his delight with the newly formed partnership and that he can’t wait to get started.
“We are really looking forward to working with Wakefield Trinity for 2021. From our point of view, we are bringing the world of engineering and partnering it with the world of sport, two really important areas of a young person’s development,” he explained.
“There is a real excitement surrounding sport and, equally, engineering, so being able to bring them together is great.
“Over recent years, sports technology has really kicked on, especially in this region, meaning there is no better time to form this partnership.”
While Foundation Head of Education & Training, Luke Shale, followed, “Off the back of the launch of Trinity Education earlier this year, we are really excited about our relationship with John and everyone at Work-Wise.
“This is a new era at the Foundation and creating these partnerships gives us the platform to excel in each of the different areas.
“This offers a great opportunity to bolster our STREAM curriculum for 2021 and we can’t wait to get started.”
