Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation

Learning Disability Rugby League (LDRL) provides the opportunity for individuals to play rugby league, take part in games and festivals, meet new people and most importantly have fun and make new friends.

The number of participants playing for the Wakefield Trinity LDRL team is growing at a steady pace, but still allowing for players to get good game time. The LD team have played at several festivals and appear regularly on game days entertaining our crowds with their enthusiasm and passion for league.

2019 saw the team represent Wakefield Trinity at Anfield Stadium in Liverpool as part of the Magic Weekend event.

In 2020 our LD team will take part in the first official Bethesda LDRL festival in Wales with several other Super League teams attending as well.

We are always on the lookout for new players and volunteers as well as sponsors to support our provision.

If you think you may be eligible to play or know someone who might be interesting in Learning Disability Rugby League please do enquire for a consultation and introductory session to see if it’s for you or them.
