Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation are delighted to announce the launch of our ‘Outreach’ programme for 2021. The programme will see Trinity link up with three clubs outside of the region in a bid to support and develop players and coaches from non-traditional rugby League areas.
The partnership will see a joint approach to developing Rugby League in Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and the North East and help to promote excellence across all coaches, teachers, volunteers and players who are involved.
Trinity, together with Bassetlaw Bulldogs, Gateshead Storm and Immingham Wasps, will work together to develop the game and introduce new players to the sport in the developing regions.
The ‘Outreach’ clubs will be invited to attend pre-match festivals and activity camps, whilst players aged 12-16 will also be invited to attend the Player Development Centres scheduled throughout the year. Each club will also host a ‘Trinity on Tour’ summer camp, led by our Foundation team.
All three clubs have some exciting plans to develop the game in their regions and we believe, with our support, we can introduce and develop the sport and aim to create a more sustainable talent pool for all areas of the game.”
