Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation is delighted to announce our new partnership with Normanton Junior Academy for 2021.
The new partnership will see Trinity Education’s School Sports Partnership department deliver its high-quality P.E and Sport Provision in the 2021/22 academic year.
As part of the provision, one of the SSP’s full-time P.E specialists will spend one full day a week in the school for the 39 weeks.
Through this time, we will implement our very own curriculum, working alongside the class teachers to develop their PE Delivery and understating, as well as delivering and structuring a lunchtime club, afterschool club, and a one-on-one morning programme.
The provision will also see our partners from Leeds United’s Primary Stars Department deliver in the school, as well as coaches going in from our very own Rugby League department.
After securing the backing of Normanton ahead of a busy 2021/22, Head of Education & Training, Luke Shale, expressed his delight at working with another Rugby league side within the district.
“We are excited to be working with Normanton Junior Academy and Luke Welsh, the Headteacher in the next academic year.
“We have worked with the school previously and we have always had a great relationship. They are very supportive of the work we do, and the legacy we try to leave in schools.
“The Foundation and I can’t wait to get started.”
