NCS returns for Summer 2022

Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation is delighted to announce that our NCS summer programme will run from July 2022.

After the overwhelming, post-pandemic success of last year’s programme, the Foundation is keen to build on our achievements last time out, bringing back the eagerly anticipated residential trips for the forthcoming year.

As well as the social action and life skills taught in week two of the three waves, participants will also get the opportunity to spend some time away at one of our sought-after weeks away, with YHA Hellvelyn, YHA Haworth and YHA Grinton Lodge on the cards for 2022.

Alongside, their trips away, participants will also be learning a host of life skills, such as budgeting, teamwork and communication as well as completing some important social action projects at one of our dedicated community partners.

Recruitment for this year’s programme is well underway, with our NCS team working their way through schools, so if you see them, stop and say hi.

Speaking upon the launch of this year’s waves, Head of Education & NCS at the Foundation, Luke Shale, said, “We can’t wait for NCS 2022 and preparations are already well underway.

“We have some great residentials planned, full of exciting activities, whilst we will also be bringing back the work we do in Wakefield, working alongside our community partners.

“If you are aged either 16 or 17, then make sure you get involved.”
