Wakefield Trinity Partner with NCS for Match Day

Today, Wakefield Trinity will join Clubs across the country to celebrate the impact that young people have had in Wakefield thanks to NCS (National Citizen Service).

Each year, our club promotes NCS and the impact it has had on young people from the local district through a campaign called #NCSMatchDay.

Given the challenging times, this hasn’t been able to happen in its normal format this year, however, this won’t stop #NCSMatchDay from going digital!

Kicking off later this year, the Foundation is excited to launch our three-week programme, which includes a residential trip away from home, offering young people the opportunity to take part in a range of activities from rock-climbing to archery.

While the rest of the programme will include multiple activities to prepare the young people for the future, with opportunities to meet new friends, learn new skills and support their community through social action.

With Summer 2021 fast approaching, NCS is an outstanding opportunity to push yourself outside of your comfort zone, creating memories that last a lifetime.

At the end of the experience, participants will graduate from the NCS programme at a special event for both family and friends at The Mobile Rocket Stadium. This event is not only an opportunity to showcase the fantastic work they have achieved during the summer but also to receive a certificate signed by the Prime Minister!

A £50 price tag comes with the programme; however, this will cover everything the young person will need, from activities and accommodation to food and travel.

If you are 16 or 17 and would like to get involved in our Summer programme in 2021, please head to wearencs.com to sign up or for more information, please email ncs@wakefieldtrinity.com.
