Medequip become principal Disability RL sponsor

Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation is delighted to confirm that Medequip UK will become the Foundation’s principal sponsor for our disability set-up in 2022.

The company – who are based in West Yorkshire – will help support our Physical Disability, Learning Disability and Wheelchair Rugby League sides throughout the 2022 season.

This all-new partnership will allow the disability game to grow, not just around West Yorkshire, but across the country, as we aim to make Rugby League as inclusive as possible.

As a proud Yorkshire, family-owned business, Medequip UK currently manages 44 contracts across the length and breadth of England and Wales, building a strong tradition of partnership working and customer care.

Through these blossoming family-orientated values, the company has become the largest provider of Integrated Community Equipment Service (ICES) in the UK, providing services on behalf of both the NHS and the Local Government.

Funding of this nature, along with our other sponsors, will make sure that all teams across the Foundation are wearing identical kit and have an equal opportunity to play the sport that they love.

Speaking upon the confirmation of the partnership, the Foundation’s Media & Commercial Executive, William Moore, said, “We are delighted to have Medequip on board for the 2022 season.

“We cannot thank them enough for the funds they have invested in our disability set-up this year, offering everyone the same opportunities, both Club and Foundation.

“2022 will be an exciting year for all of our team, and we cannot wait to see where this partnership can go.”

Whilst, Medequip’s Head of Retail & Marketing, Matt Ward, followed, “We at Medequip are excited to now be furthering our support of the Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation, and their aims to make rugby an inclusive sport.

“As part of our company vision and values, we believe that helping people with empathy, courtesy, dignity and kindness is vital in providing the appropriate atmosphere for embracing change and promoting inclusivity.

“We look forward to working alongside the foundation throughout the season and we’re confident that together, our partnership will be one of success for all involved.”
