Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation is delighted to announce the re-launch of our Back 2 Exercise programme, aimed at providing a safe, assessable route into physical activity.
Following two years of limited accessibility due to the covid-19 pandemic, the Foundation is dedicated to improving the mental and physical wellbeing of the over 55s in the community.
From Thursday, 3rd February, we will be running a weekly exercise class from the Be Well Support Stadium, with sessions consisting of low aerobic activity.
It was reported by the World Health Organisation in 2020, that just one in four adults exercise on a weekly basis, with anyone over the age of 50 being recommended to take part in physical activity for at least 150 minutes a day.
Through this all-new project, participants will have the opportunity to take part in a range of steady activities that will improve their overall health and wellbeing.
