Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation is delighted to confirm that Empower is set to start on Monday, 29th November 2021.
The programme, looking at improving fitness over the winter months, will be a women-only exercise class, consisting of 40 minutes of fitness and 20 minutes of discussion.
The sessions, run by an experienced member of staff, will focus on working destress and fitness on the run-up to and over the Christmas period.
December and January can be a difficult time, with the days getting shorter and the stress of the festive period taking over, these sessions can be the relief that many need at the time of year.
Following on from the exercise-based part of the programme, a discussion – completely up to the participants involved – will ensue, hoping to maintain benefits that come with opening up about mental health.
Speaking ahead of the programme’s launch, project lead, David Firth, said, “As a Foundation, we are really pleased to offer a project of this nature.
“As a former personal trainer, these types of sessions – which include exercise and discussion – are immensely important for the maintenance of mental and physical wellbeing.
“We are looking forward to seeing all the participants on the 29th.”
