Foundation launch ‘Trinity Healthy Holidays’

Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of our ‘Trinity Healthy Holiday’ camps this February half-term.

Re-instated off the back of the success of our ‘Tackling Hunger’ camps, the trust is dedicated to making sure that all children have access to a free school meal in the holidays.

The project aims to provide children aged 5 – 11 with a range of opportunities during the half term to keep them active and healthy, whilst ensuring that children can get enrichment through our activity camps and receive a fresh meal each day.

Operated by experienced Foundation staff, these camps will be run from Monday, 21st to Thursday 24th February at the Be Well Support Stadium and will be jam-packed with loads of multisport activities for children to enjoy.

Activities will include Rugby League, Football, hockey, health, and nutrition advice and loads of different games to keep the children occupied throughout the week.

Speaking upon the launch of the project, Head of Foundation, Mark Brennan, said,

“We want to be at the heart of the community with everything we do, and this is another example of how we can support the young people of Wakefield.

“Providing enrichment opportunities around health and wellbeing as well as providing all participants with a free meal and snacks throughout the day is something very important to us and we will do the utmost to support this cause.”
