Foundation launch Touch RL side

Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation is delighted to announce that we will be launching a Touch Rugby League side to represent us at this year’s inaugural Foundation Touch League.

Brand-new for 2021, the RFL has confirmed plans to bring together 10 teams across four weekends, with each side partaking in eight fixtures each.

The new league has been brought in to give players of all ages & abilities a taste of competitive Rugby League.

Touch Rugby League is another variation of the traditional game; however, the sport is played at a much quicker pace and with fewer players.

This announcement follows on from the Foundation’s current touch set-up, where eight sides currently battle it out every Monday evening in Eastmoor to compete for that top spot.

With the tournament set to launch in a couple of weeks, the Foundation is now recruiting players to represent the club.

Players interested will need to be available for at least two out of the four weekends, while dates and fixtures can be found below.

To register your interest, please email charlie.doherty@wakefieldtrinity.com.
