With the year coming to a close and 2022 just around the corner, the Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation is proud to look back on a successful 2021, despite problems still caused by the pandemic.
In a year that was marked as a re-build period for the organisation, the Foundation has done amazing work, both in education for our young participants as well as supporting the elderly and vulnerable as we came out of the pandemic.
Ending a difficult 2020 with some positive work in the community, the Foundation continued to support those in need, continuing the Big Feed from February to July.
Throughout that time, our education and development programmes continued to grow, signing a further two years with Outwood Grange Academies Trust as well as supporting our up-and-coming Rugby League players through both our Summer Series and Player Development Centres.
A positive Summer and Autumn on NCS saw our young people raise over £2000 in sponsorship initiatives, while our Health Wellbeing & Inclusion department continued to go from strength to strength.
That is why we have decided to work on a 2021 project-inspired advent calendar in the lead up to Christmas.
This will showcase a different project we have participated in over the calendar year, whether it may be a past press release, video or story from someone’s time participating in one of our programmes.
Make sure you are following our social media channels every day this December and take a look back on what we have achieved throughout a busy, but positive, 2021.
