Back in The Game – Walking Rugby

Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation continues to support the health and wellbeing of the community by delivering our Back in the Game (Walking Rugby) programme.

Here at the Foundation, we aim to offer versions of Rugby League to suit all ages, genders and physical abilities.  As part of this offer, we are pleased to announce Back in the Game, our new walking rugby sessions, which will be delivered by our fully qualified coaches and are suitable for all.

Walking rugby is based on the non-contact Touch Rugby format but played at a much more leisurely pace.

This is an ideal opportunity for those who thought their playing days were over to get back involved., providing an opportunity for families to enjoy a game as a team from grandparent to grandchildren.

If you think you are physically past playing this great game then think again.  Come down for a leisurely stroll whilst throwing those dummies you used to throw as a kid.

Even if you are new to the game of Rugby League or just fancy a social game and meet new friends then this is the game for you.

Sessions take place on Mondays 6-7pm at West Yorkshire Sports Club, Sandal Hall Close, Wakefield, WF2 6ER

For more information, or to sign up to the programme, please email jason.talbot@wakefieldtrinity.com.
